My name is Jeremy Martino and I am a strategic marketing and media consultant currently domiciled in the Asheville, North Carolina area.
My personal fascination with visual rhetoric began at a very early age. Some of my earliest and fondest memories involve hours spent creatively expressing myself. Initially, I vested much of my time into illustration and painting. Meticulous dedication and practice endowed me with an exceptional eye for detail and technical precision.
Eventually, I started to become interested in the entrepreneurial potential of my artisan craftsmanship. This lead me to obtain an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences with a concentration in advertising and graphic design from McDowell Technical Community College located in Marion, North Carolina; as well as, a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Studies (BS) from Appalachian State University headquartered in Boone, North Carolina.With guidance and support from my mentors, friends and family, I have since established myself as a formidable competitor in the regional job market. Obtaining my degree from McDowell 'Tech' enabled me to tactically apply my prior skills knowledge with new technological prowess. This opportunity facilitated familiarity with a plethora of different mediums, industries and specialty career fields.
Ensuingly, this love of artistry manifested itself into a lucrative career as a professional tattoo artist. After completing my apprenticeship at Diamond Thieves Tattoo & Body Piercing in Asheville, I obtained full-time employment at Pine Needle Studios, a shop based in Boone. Through this experience I was able to acquire essential interpersonal and ethnographic intuition, as it is my belief that "soft skills," or people-skills are paramount to synergistic team achievement in the 21st century.
With additional post-secondary academic certifications, licensures and years of hands-on experience, I have acquired proficiency in numerous areas of expertise and enjoy the challenge of seeing a project transform from concept to finished product in accordance with the clients’ specifications and expectations.
